Range News

Hello Range Members,

The Masons held their annual trap shoot on Saturday.

The Fall foliage is getting close to peak and there is no prettier time to shoot at the Range.

We continue to hold scheduled Trap Shoots every Wednesday 9:30 – 12:00 and Sunday 9:00 – 12:00, weather permitting. Also, Five Stand Shoots continue every Saturday 9:00 – 12:00, rain or shine. So if the weather is keeping you from bird hunting, Five Stand is a perfect substitute!

The Masons held their annual Trap Shoot and lunch fundraiser. The weather was mostly sunny and breezy, making for challenging clays. Some of the Masons got a chance to try Five Stand as well, declaring it an excellent practice for bird hunting.

Diane Stone writes: The Masons had their annual Trap Shoot and Barbecue Fundraiser at our Range and I got the opportunity to shoot this year. I came in second overall, and our Squad came in first. It’s the first time I’ve ever gotten a trophy for shooting.

Finally, CVOA member Mike McCloskey of Liberty Firearms Academy can provide private and small group lessons for handgun or rifle at the CVOA Range. Mike offers programs for all levels of shooters, from beginners to those wanting to learn more advanced firearms techniques. If you are interested, you can review the various training programs and contact Mike through his website: libertyfirearmsacademy.com.

We hope to see you all at the Range,
Diane Stone, Range Secretary
